Privacy
Privacy Policy
We keep this simple: we only collect what we need to help you, and we never sell your information.
Who we are
This website is operated by In Order (“we”, “us”, “our”), a professional organising service based in London. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can reach us at info@in-order.co.uk.
What information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, including:
- Your name and contact details (email address and, if you share it, your phone number).
- The details of your enquiry. For example, the type of space you would like help with, and any information you include in a message.
- Any messages you send us by email, the contact form, or WhatsApp.
- If you buy a gift voucher: the recipient’s name and email, your gift message, and your payment. Card payments are processed securely by Square; we never see or store your full card details.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information, and we ask that you do not send it to us through this website.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Reply to your enquiry and arrange a free consultation.
- Provide our services, prepare quotes, and send invoices or gift vouchers.
- Keep records of the work we agree and carry out.
- Send you occasional tips and offers about our services, but only if you have ticked the opt-in box. See “Marketing” below. You can opt out at any time.
Our legal basis
Under UK data protection law, we rely on the following bases: your consent when you contact us, the performance of a contract when we provide services you have requested, and our legitimate interests in running and improving our business. For marketing emails, we rely on your consent: we only send them to people who have ticked the opt-in box. You can withdraw your consent or opt out of marketing at any time by emailing us.
Marketing
We may send occasional emails with organising tips and offers, but only where the law allows:
- If you use our contact form, we add you to these emails only if you tick the marketing box.
- If you buy a gift voucher, we add you to these emails only if you tick the marketing box at checkout.
- If someone buys a gift voucher for you, we use your email only to send that voucher. We do not add you to marketing.
Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe, and we act on it promptly. You can also opt out any time by emailing info@in-order.co.uk.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with trusted providers that help us run the business, and only as far as needed:
- Netlify: hosts the website and handles contact-form submissions.
- Square: processes secure card payments for gift vouchers.
- Teya: processes secure payments for services after a quote.
- Sanity: stores our website content and basic gift-voucher records (code, amount, name). It does not hold email addresses or phone numbers.
- Resend: sends gift vouchers, receipts and any marketing emails you have agreed to, and stores our marketing contact list (people who opted in).
- Email and messaging providers: so we can reply to you. This includes WhatsApp, if you choose to contact us there.
- Google Analytics: helps us see how the site is used, but only if you accept analytics cookies (see below).
These providers handle your information under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular. Google Analytics sets cookies, so it only runs if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you click “Decline”, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics does not run.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser cookies and site data, which makes the banner appear again. To learn more, see Google’s privacy policy.
We also load fonts from Google Fonts so the site displays correctly. This means your browser contacts Google’s servers, and your IP address may be processed by Google as part of that.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and client information only for as long as we need it. We need it to provide our services, to meet our legal and accounting duties, and to answer any questions that may come up. When it is no longer needed, we delete it securely.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for a copy of the information you have given us. To make a request, email info@in-order.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
